Lorenzo Rocco

Lorenzo is a teacher with 30 years experience. He is specialised in classical and modern techniques and repertoires. He has successfully prepared a wide range of pupils for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall examinations (Grade 1 to 8 and diplomas). He also teaches orchestration and composition, as well as jazz, rock and other styles.

His compositions combine elements of classical music with a tonal contemporary sound. Lorenzo has been composing since early childhood, but it was only when he was 13 that his compositions grew in structure and form, following the thorough study and analysis of the work of the great composers (in particular, Bach and Beethoven) under the supervision of pianist and conductor Emilio Rabaglino

Lorenzo has been playing piano since he was 5. He started composing as soon as he started playing. He studied piano at the Conservatorio of Santa Cecilia in Rome, and took classes in Composition and Orchestration at the Guildhall School of Music in London.

Lorenzo also prepares students for Music Aptitude Tests to grant admission to many selective secondary schools and run Music Theory classes, including the very popular course aimed for ABRSM Grade 5 Theory exam.
