Ebony & Ivory music school is running a singing workshop for children aged 10 to 18 over the October half-term break. It will be conducted by singing teacher Elysha West, who has over 25 years experience singing with bands all over the world, recording sessions and teaching, including coaching last year’s X-Factor finalist, Lauren Murray, for over 10 years.
The workshop’s main focus will be learning to sing in harmony with others, like in a choir or a band. You’ll also learn about lead vocals, improvising and ad-libbing. A range of different pop styles will be covered, including soul, R’nB, Blues, Jazz and Rock.
We will record one of the songs in a recording studio and there will be a live performance on the last day.
