Paul Nazarkardeh is a multi instrumentalist specialising in electric, acoustic and classical guitar. Born in London in 1991, his first guitar lessons were here at Ebony & Ivory back in 2004. A few years later he would go on to study Music at the prestigious Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, graduating in 2013. To this day, he credits his years of learning Music at Ebony and Ivory as absolutely vital to putting him on his path as a professional musician.
Since then he has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe in a broad variety of styles ranging from rock and heavy metal to hip hop and musical theatre. Across a career spanning across two decades he has performed at famous venues such as Wembley Arena (UK), Folkets Park (Malmö, Sweden), Backstage Kulturzentrum (Munich, Germany), 013 Poppodium (Tilburg, Netherlands) and Konzerfabrik Z7 (Pratteln, Switzerland).
Beyond the stage Paul is a recording artist, having released a variety of full length LPs through international record labels such as Transcending Obscurity Records (India) and Schwarzdorn Production (Germany). As a session musician he has also provided guest recording work for a multitude of artists, particularly in the European metal scene.
At the same time, he has taught in numerous schools and sixth forms in North London, both as an instrumental tutor and assisting with GCSE, BTEC and A-Level Music students before returning to Ebony & Ivory as a teacher in 2021. He continues to teach in two prestigious high schools in the local area and ensures that the professional standards and expectations of British school education are met in his lessons.
As well as all things guitar, Paul teaches Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin and Music Theory to all ages, styles and skill levels. Paul teaches music exam material ranging from Debut Grade up to Grade 8 in the RSL, Trinity, RGT and ABRSM syllabuses.
Several of Paul’s students have gone on to study Music at higher education at institutions that include Cambridge University, Leeds University and the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. Others have gone on to become performing or recording artists themselves.
