Event Wrap-Up: Ebony & Ivory Music School Annual Concert

A Massive Night for the Colindale Community

On the evening of 14th December, the local community rallied together for the highly anticipated annual concert of the Ebony & Ivory Music School. Swapping the intimate studios of Varley Parade for the monumental architecture of Hangar 5 at the RAF Museum, the event brought together roughly 400 attendees—including proud parents, family members, friends, and local music enthusiasts—for a spectacular celebration of local talent.

The concert series is an annual tradition, giving students a grand stage in their own neighborhood to showcase a year’s worth of hard work, discipline, and creative growth.

With more than 400 attendees at the event, it was by FAR the biggest event we have ever had. Students, teachers, friends, family and the general public were all in attendance, admiring what we love most here at Ebony and Ivory… Music!

With the lights shining above, the audience were rewarded with some brilliant performances from our students. This was their time to shine and they definitely took their chances!

 

We had performances from the choir, amazing solos and duets from various students using instruments ranging from the piano to the guitar to the violin to the saxophone to the drums, showcasing the vast range of talent we have to offer for the world to see.

 

 

 

 

Of course it wasn’t just the students that was showcasing their talents. Our teachers had to join in on the action too! From playing the hardest compositions ever created in the history of music to playing their own musical pieces, this night was a reminder of just how lucky we are here at Ebony and Ivory to be able to call these musical geniuses our teachers.

Finally it was time for the teacher – student duet. We had some amazing harmonious performances that showcased the bond and chemistry that our teachers have formed with their students over the years.

An unforgettable event that has been our most successful yet. This year, we are looking to build onto the success and hopefully have an even bigger event this year. Stay tuned for more to come!
